Title: Christopher Returns

Christopher is back, or for us watching it’s our first time meeting the person responsible for 50% of Rory’s DNA. We also find out it’s his first time visiting Stars Hollow, so not really a return.

Summary: Christopher rides in on a motorcycle, the scourge of Taylor Doose. Rory tries to bury him in blankets, then shows him her Dean. The town tries to decide if he’s more Brad Pitt or Billy Crudup. Straub and Francine make a true villain entrance. Lorelai experiences Jose Cuervo’s magical powers then has to rectify a ratty transgression. Christopher can’t afford to buy a book but still thinks he can marry Lorelai. Offspring sucks and Metallica rules.

Title: Rory’s Dance

Another expositional title. Rory has a dance at school and she invites her maybe-boyfriend Dean.

Summary:  Emily reads her Chilton Newsletter, Lorelai does not. Rory takes Dean to the dance, much to Tristan’s dismay. Paris brings her cousin. Madeline’s mom can make soup. Louise discovers Dean is 6’1″. Lorelai throws out her back and Emily makes her mushed banana on toast. Rory and Dean sleep on Miss Patty’s yoga mats. Lorelai and Emily freak.

Title: The Long Morrow

An episode of the The Twilight Zone that aired January 10, 1964. An astronaut and his girlfriend at home age at different speeds for 40 years. “That’s true love.” Starring Robert Lansing, who was also in Star Trek, young Luke’s favorite show according to Mia (See Season 2, Episode 8).

Summary: The girls try racketball. Rory gets a weird rocket. Lorelai fucks it up. Luke is crushed. Taylor puts up a traffic camera. Kirk is Evel Knievel. Paris frightens the next generation. Continue reading
